Wildlife, Gardens & Seasonal Beauty
Nature is a huge part of life here. Throughout the seasons the landscape changes constantly, from spring wildflowers and buzzing pollinator gardens to dramatic winter coastlines and dark star-filled skies.
We’ve created our own wildlife-friendly garden filled with flowers, edible planting and quiet places to sit and unwind. Birds, bees and butterflies are a daily part of life here, and the slower rhythm of the countryside naturally encourages rest and reconnection.
It’s a place to breathe deeply, slow down and enjoy the simple things.
Local Food & Village Life
Hartland village has a welcoming and creative community, with independent cafés, traditional pubs, galleries and local shops all nearby.
Having spent many years working with food and hospitality, we’ve always appreciated simple, thoughtful meals made with good ingredients. The area is rich in local produce, from farm shops and fresh seafood to artisan bakeries and seasonal markets.
Whether you’re cooking at the cottage or eating out after a coastal walk, there’s plenty to discover nearby.
A Slower Pace of Life
One of the things we love most about Hartland is the feeling of space, quiet and connection to nature. Life moves more slowly here.
There are dark skies, quiet roads, dramatic coastlines and the simple pleasure of listening to birdsong with a morning coffee or watching the light change over the sea.
Little Linney is designed to be a peaceful base from which to explore, rest and reconnect with the natural world around you.
